·         HW1 deadline is extended to Friday 11:59 P.M. (source code : CSnet,  hard copy of report : the box in front of 427C)

·         2/25 -  HW1 clarification on the first question of the predictor table size change in Section 2.

When you decrease the table size 0.5X for 2lev predictor, you cannot do it because the default size (1lsize) is 1 and l1size should be integer.

Please reduce l2size instead of l1size for only this case.

It's going to be 512 (default l2size is 1024).

Basically you need to run 5 simulations for one predictor.

1) 1X table, 1X BTB - baseline

2) 2X table, 1X BTB

3) 0.5X table, 1X BTB

4) 1X table, 2X BTB

5) 1X table, 0.5X BTB

You don't have to do simulation for table and BTB combination cases.

·         2/19 – Homework1 Please use linux.cs.tamu.edu instead of sun.cs.tamu.edu.

·         2/16 – Homework #1 is ready. Please take a look before Monday class. We will have a Question/Answer session on this homework.
