God establishs a relationship with us based on His Grace. God calls and we respond. We must admit that we are sinners (selfish, self-centered, and willfully separated from God). We must acknowledge that our sins have been paid for by the death of Jesus Christ on the Cross. If we ask for forgiveness of our sins and accept Jesus's sacrifice for us, God hears us. The price has been paid and now we can be brought into the proper relationship with God, one of dependence upon Him. Jesus should now become Lord of our life and we strive to please Him because of what has been done for us through Jesus. With the help of the indwelling Holy Spirit we are enabled to move forward and accomplish the Triad. Now the best good we can be for people is to point them toward Christ - the Author of Life. John 13:34 - A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
