Shared force

To create a effect more like a waterbaloon or bag with a fixed surfac earea, i added a force to each surface point from each other point that was a percentage of the current force on the other points scaled by how similar the direction between the two are (dot product). This force creates a more general compression of the colliding side of the sphere and a expansion of the other side much like a water baloon.

Goal

The goal of this project was to create a deformable sphere using springs. The intended use of the deformable sphere was as a visual or gameplay effect for spaceships as a shield that would glow and deform when hit.
